You’ll find it in almost every kitchen. Poured over fresh tomatoes, stirred into stews or drizzled just before serving — olive oil is one of those rare things that feels both everyday and essential. It’s familiar, delicious and quietly luxurious in the way that only the best everyday things are. But when something is so ingrained in daily life, it’s easy to stop noticing it.
Two&One is a reminder to look again.
The idea behind the brand comes from Lola and Ben, a couple based in rural Hampshire. Lola’s family has been growing olives in southern Spain for five generations, using sustainable farming techniques that prioritise quality and respect for the land. In 2004, after marrying Ben, she brought that legacy to the UK. Their goal was to bottle the flavour and integrity of that tradition and share it in a way that felt true to its roots and their story together.
That fusion became the foundation for Two&One. The name represents two heritages coming together into one product, shaped by culture and connection. And it’s a theme that runs throughout the brand, from the overlapping olive logo to the colours used across the range.
To express the product’s quality and origin through packaging, the couple partnered with Source Design who built the identity from the ground up. The design draws from both Spanish and British influences: warm, natural tones for the main 250ml range, with khaki, gold and mauve used to differentiate the three harvest months — October (Verde), November (Envero) and December (Negra). Even the smaller 20ml bottles continue this logic, with a palette more closely tied to the fresh colour of the olives themselves.
But looks weren’t everything. The labels had to live up to the quality of the oil, so that’s where Autajon Labels Royston came in to help the the Two&One team find the right approach — one that would complement the visual concept while handling the real-world demands of olive oil packaging.
One of those challenges was the bottle shape, as they are conical, making it more complicated. Royston suggested moving from two labels to one, a decision that made the final result cleaner and more elegant. The team also helped guide material selection, landing on our Fasson® Greaseproof Rustique FSC paper, a material that performs well when exposed to oil and moisture.
The final result is a label that does exactly what it needs to, delivering visual appeal and durability in equal measure. It holds up on the shelf and in use while reinforcing the product’s position as a premium, sustainably made olive oil with a story worth sharing.
Today, Two&One is stocked in over 40 locations across the UK. And beyond the product itself, it’s the combination of design, quality and authenticity that makes it stand out. It’s a brand built on partnership between two people, two places and the teams who helped bring their idea to life. The result is something that feels simple, elegant and honest. Just like the oil inside.
