Neustadt an der Weinstraße, nestled in the heart of the Palatinate region (Rheinland-Pfalz) in Germany, is a picturesque town that captivates visitors with its stunning landscape, rich history, and vibrant culture. Its most unique attribute is its location along the famous German wine route (Deutsche Weinstraße), making it a beloved destination for wine enthusiasts worldwide. Surrounded by lush vineyards and idyllic villages, Neustadt boasts a strong viticultural tradition, with winemaking integral to its identity for centuries.

However, the city's expertise revolves not only around winemaking, and visitors are often drawn to its many artisanal and locally produced products — among them jams. With the innovative collaboration between ArtevinoStudio Fil Rouge and Lancolorspfalz, the 'Land Colors' project was launched to develop a unique new range of "Made in Pfalz" jams.

This ambitious initiative aimed to create a unified graphic identity for a diverse selection of jams from various local producers under the guidance of an institution that promotes and celebrates the region's culinary heritage. The duo embarked on a comprehensive design journey to develop a coherent visual language that seamlessly combines different products under a single brand umbrella. "The resulting design features elegant monochromatic patterns in black and white, accompanied by a distinctive color note for each label, creating a strong sense of identity for each individual jam while maintaining a cohesive look across the range," explains Antonella Frate, Graphic Designer & Art Director at ArtevinoStudio Fil Rouge.

To further elevate the label design, the Kurz Luxor Alufin 396 copper foil is used in combination with a copper-colored cap for the jars, creating a striking visual impact. A large copper circle is also incorporated into the design, serving as the perfect backdrop for the product name. The labels were printed using HP Indigo digital technology by Ilma Etichette, ensuring exceptional quality and precision. "For the label material, we chose Avery Dennison's Fasson® Rustique Blanc FSC® paper due to its versatility and adaptability to different environments, including humidity and refrigeration. The delicate tactile materiality of the paper perfectly balances the printing requirements with a sense of naturalness and artisanal craftsmanship, further enhancing the consumer experience," adds Antonella.
