Often referred to as the invisible threat, pollution affects almost all of us. The World Health Organization estimates that 99% of the world's population is impacted by air pollution levels which increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, and pneumonia. There are 6.7 million deaths each year attributed to exposure to air pollution, which makes it evident that this human-made silent enemy must be addressed immediately.

Although technology and automation have played a major role in shaping and developing our world, it has also negatively impacted air quality. Among its causes, vehicle emissions, fuel oils, and natural gas account for the majority of air pollution. Fortunately, many organizations and brands are waking up to the issue's importance and taking measures to address it.

Inspired by this widespread concern, STRIBOG, our caviar concept, is designed to highlight the issue of pollution. Taking its name from the Slavic god of wind and air, the project demonstrates how a luxury product can tell a crucial environmental story through beautiful label design.

Printed on our Fasson® Cotton Black paper, which is made from 100% cotton, STRIBOG's circular label is influenced by the old runic writing system to create a wind compass. Furthermore, the fine lines above and below the name represent Stiborg's winds, while the contrast between the white and silver elements creates a luxurious yet minimal aesthetic.

This prototype is designed to demonstrate how luxury brands can tie sustainable labels to digital triggers, such as NFC tags, to connect the physical and digital worlds. Through intelligent labels, brands can develop a deeper connection with consumers through interactive storytelling — such as raising awareness about pollution.

Together with our partners ESTAL, Favini, Grafical, Luxoro-KURZ and O,nice! Design Studio, we have produced six 'Element' prototypes to illustrate how digital triggers, such as NFC tags, can be integrated with our premium, sustainable, and security portfolios to communicate with consumers and further engage them with brand stories.

Upon scanning the NFC tag in the STRIBOG label, consumers can access a dedicated landing page for further information. By doing so, this prototype showcases how brands can embed digital triggers into their labels, monitor various metrics, and interact directly with their buyers. We offer a variety of digital ID solutions, along with connected product cloud. Through this, brands can manage supply chains, and reach individual customers. However, the most important advantage is that it allows brands to tell a story about their products, values and, in this case, educate consumers on environmental concerns facing the world today.

We hope you will be inspired even more by reading about our other prototypes in the Elements envelope. Explore how sustainable materials can help you create a premium look and feel for your products while keeping the environment in mind, and learn how you can harness the power of connected products to communicate your brand story.
